What is Cub Scouts
    • There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform.
    • Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.

The Cub Scout Promise is:

I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen,
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law

To Celerbrate 100 years of Scouting 6th plympton Scout went on a centary camp. The Cubs and Scouts camped at Huishwoods Scout Camp site for 3 nights over the May Bank Holiday weekend. We were joined by the Beavers on the Sunday for a group day of fun and activities like shooting, archery, climbing and rounding the day off with a BBq, skits and a few songs around a bonfire.

Last Year The Cubs did:
Every year Beavers, Cubs and Scouts take part in the St Georges Day Parade. This year was no different. St George faced his troubles no matter what they were, even a dragon. This is how all Cub should face their troubles. All Cubs know the story of St George and the dragon and once year we join together to renew our promise to God and the Queen.

6th Plympton say bye to Arkela (Graham).

The Scout Group say bye bye to the out going Arkela and welcome Keith our new Arkela

Graham has been with the Group for longer than anyone can remember; in a short ceremony Graham was given a card and some gifts for all his time and hard work spent with the group. These were given to Graham in front of the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

Plympton & Ivybridge District Cup Final

We came runners up.

The first half start off well with plenty of chances on both sides, Our Goal Keeper made some excellent saves to keep the score 0 - 0 at half time. All to play for into the second half, when only 10 minutes in, Ivybridge Stowford played a great forward ball to their centre forward who placed it in the top corner.  The match was then hard fought with good defensive play by both sides then within the last 5 minutes Stowford scored again and the whistle went for the last time.

The final score was 2 - 0 .

Well done to 6th Plympton who had to win three games against strong opposition to reach this hard fought final.

“We will beat them next year, come on you greys”

The 6th Pympton Scout Group Committee would like to thank the team and the managers for their success this season
