Some Comments the Beavers have written:

Beaver club is really fun. We do all sorts games at beavers here are just some of them: hockey, football, dodge ball, prisoner, crab football and captain coming. We also do a lot of art and craft we make food cards and small gifts. Beavers is once a week and we we get there Nutkin will sell you sweets.

We do loads of challenges and if you do them you will get earn badges. We have day trips some times where we go bowling and beaver fair and Crealy adventure park

You can join Beavers when you are six years old and stay until you are eight years old. When you are eight you can swim up to Cubs. When you are ten you can swim up to Scouts. Finally when you are fourteen you can swim up to explore Scouts.

At Beavers you can play lots of games like Sharkd and Fishes, High Jump, Crab Football, Football and lots of other games. We make things like pancakes, dragons, drawings, cards and buns.

Some times we go on trips. I've been to megabowl, on a train to see a christmas play and a night hike.

Beavers is fun and I recommend it to any six year old.

Beavers is a fun activity for after school. You can progress from Beavers toCubs and then on toScouts. The person in charge of the whole scout community is called Baden Powell. In the Beavers part you just get to do games like footbal and stuff. In cubs part you get to do things like go camping in a tent and go and search for things and stuff.

This Year the Beavers have Done: Please note that some Beavers are not allowed to have photo's on the website.
To mark the 100 years of Scouting the Beavers joined the Cubs and Scouts at Huishwoods Scout campsite for a day visit. It was a long day for young people between 6 & 8 years of age. The Beavers left Plympton at 09:00 and didn't return from the campsite until 21:00 tired but happy. They had joined in the days activities and taken part in Archery, Shooting, Climbing finishing the day with a BBQ, skits and some songs around the fire.
All the Beavers had the chance to try the climbing, some chose not to, but helped with the ropes at the bottom of the wall. The Beavers that did climb had fun with a few making it to the top.
One of the Scouts helping lead one of the songs at the camp fire. The beavers really enjoyed taking part and all are looking forward to becoming Cubs.
One of the Scouts getting the help from one of the Beavers with a skit, The result was everyone in laughter.

Last Year The Beavers have Done: Please note that some Beavers are not allowed to have photo's on the website.
This year was the same as every year when all Beaver Scouts join the Cub Scouts and Scouts to celebrate St Georges Day. All the Beavers know the story of St. George and the dragon. Like St George all Beavers face their troubles no matter what they are. Some years we march to St Mary's Church.

Beavers do lots of activities in a Year. Far too many to mention. Yet another annual activity that the beavers participate in is theTug of War competion. 6th Plympton Beaver Scouts pulled hard and came 3rd. All the beavers came away smiling having had a lot of fun, as taking part is the best part of all.

At the end of the summer term the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts usually do something together along with a BBQ. This year the Scouts run some Bases for the Beavers and Cubs to go round. This included some compass work, Putting up tents, some backwoods cooking (we couldn't use a real fire in the school so we improvised with small BBQ's) and some abseiling off a steep bank. It was a good day with everyone enjoying themselves. It was also a good chance for the beavers and cubs to see what the Scouts can do.
Some Scouts showing and helping the Beavers with some backwoods cooking. A Scout checking that everything is secure and showing the Beaver were to hold the rope. Two Scouts working with the Beavers to make a shape using compass bearings. Scouts showing the Beavers how to put up some tents. There isn't much I can say about this picture as the picture says it all.
